Welcome. You’re Safe Here.

Sabrina Cruz, Widow, Author, blogger, women in small business, identity,

If you found your way here, chances are you’ve lived through something that changed you.

Not in a dramatic, movie-scene way—but in the quiet, internal way. The kind of change that rearranges how you trust, how you love, how you move through the world. The kind that teaches you survival before it ever teaches you peace.

This space was created for you.

Why This Blog Exists

I didn’t start writing because I had all the answers. I started writing because I needed somewhere to put the questions I didn't have answers to.

After loss, trauma, grief, and the kind of life moments that knock the air out of your lungs, I realized something important: healing doesn’t come from becoming someone new. It comes from remembering who you were before survival took over. - before you had no choice but to disappear.

This blog is a place for reflection, truth, and rebuilding—without pressure to “fix” yourself and not rush the process. Everyday we discover something new about ourselves that help build the very foundation that you call yourself.

What You’ll Find Here

You can expect posts about:

  • Healing and growth after loss or trauma

  • Boundaries, self-respect, and emotional safety

  • Grief that doesn’t follow a timeline

  • Writing as a form of release

  • Journal prompts and reflections

  • Behind-the-scenes thoughts from my book and creative process

Some posts will be gentle. Some will be honest in a way that might sting a little. All of them are written with intention and care. All of them written from my personal thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

What You Won’t Find Here

You won’t find:

  • Toxic positivity

  • “Just be grateful” energy

  • Pressure to heal faster

  • Advice that ignores real pain

This is not a space for pretending everything is okay when it isn’t.

If You’re New Here

Start wherever you feel drawn. There’s no right order. Read slowly. Come back when you need to. Leave and return.

And if you want to go deeper, my book Rebuilding was written as a companion to this space—something you can return to when words feel hard to find.

One Last Thing I need you to know

You are not behind. You are not broken. And you are not weak for needing time.

I’m really glad you’re here.

Sabrina
